Hypocrisy of the Left
72The Official Obama Network
A Double Standard
Sedition? Really Chris Matthews and the left-wing gang? Yesterday Joe Klein on Chris Matthews program "Hardball" (if you have never head of it, it is perfectly understandable) stated that he had looked up the word "sedition " and accused Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin of making treasonous, seditious acts against the United States. Sedition, according to my dictionary, means "incitement of discontent or rebellion against a government. any action, esp. in speech or writing, promoting such discontent or rebellion." Now, there is a very fine line here that needs to be addressed. Freedom of speech does not allow you to run into a theater and scream FIRE. So, in some respects, there are restrictions placed on the 1st Amendment. However, there are no such restrictions placed upon criticizing the government. Now, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin have attacked President Obama for steering the country down the path to Socialism. I find it hard to disagree with that argument. If bailouts, government take overs of the auto industry, banking and health care do not qualify as a path to Socialism, then give me your definition. But, how does all this translate to sedition? Let's go back a couple of years.
Remember when the left-wing was taking to the street about the Iraq War (speaking of which, where are those fine people these days?)? Nancy Pelosi said this was Democratic and patriotic. Not one word of these demonstrations as being one of "sedition. " Everyone on the left, including Mr. Thrill up his leg, Chris Matthews, was strangely silent about "sedition ." Not a word about it from the esteemed Mr. Klein of Time Magazine. How about the outrageous acts of Code Pink in interrupting Karl Rove recently, accusing him of war crimes? Was this patriotic or sedition of a former government official? Apparently not. Not a word from the above gang of "patriots" in the Democratic Party or the MSM. Remember how these global anarchists always show up whenever the G-8 leaders show up to wreak their brand of "peaceful co-existence" on whatever city has the misfortune of hosting the meeting? Are these people branded as war criminals, thugs or hoodlums? No, apparently not. According to the New York Times they are addressing the grievances of humanity. Again, not a word from the MSM about the violence that follows this group of professional protesters wherever they go. Nothing.
We are told criticizing President Obama is seditious, unpatriotic, treasonous and bordering on being on the same level of terrorists. Tea Party members are racists. Chris Matthew forgetting President Obama was "black for about an hour" is simply misinterpreted. Harry Reid can say "...the country is ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama, a light-skinned African American with no negro dialect unless he wanted one" and people say that is just Harry being Harry. Even so-called "black leaders " rose to his defense. If a Republican Senator had said that, would the black leaders have jumped to his defense? Most likely, they would be willing to help shovel the dirt to end his career. George W. Bush is called a war criminal, someone who "enjoys having U.S. troops die " as the late Rep.John Mutha stated and nothing is said about sedition. Nothing.
Now that Americans are waking up to the nightmare that President Obama and the Democratic Party have inflicted upon us and the generations after us, criticism is now being declared as one of sedition, traitorous and terrorist in nature. There can be no doubt, none, there is a double standard with the left-wing. Either criticism of the government and the president is sedition under both a Democratic President and a Republican President or it has no meaning. You can't have it both ways in the real world. Perhaps in the La La Land that the left-wing likes to believe in the double standard has true meaning. But, in the land of adults who know hypocrisy when they see it, the double standard is exactly what it is; hypocrisy.

I had thought about giving you a perspective about Healthcare from another author, a late author. I am read a tone in your writing that seems to say My mind is made up and your input is not necessary or wanted. Bye for now.
May you publish your book and Heaven forbid you are paid liberal---ly.
David you are preaching to the chior here. We all know that no group of people have defined the double standard like liberals have. If you say you believe in God you are some type of religious zealot ! If you believe that marriage is one man and one woman you are automatically a homophobe.
And people just are not buying their crap anymore and I say good. No one watches MSNBC they are the H1N1 of cable news.
Healthcare and writing are the two sides of the same coin. If you are up to a challenge, I would like give you a quest. Maybe a bit of entertainment, a story of a fellow author.
Let me know.
If you take jobs away from politcians. The rest may listen. Start at the local level for success. You know starting small. Nebraska has one house.
Once I thought lower taxes would work, but for some unknown reason prices for everything went up. That happened in the late 70's.
But many people agreed with Bush to lower taxes on the upper class. Like they need it.
I agree with about 66% of what Obama has done.
I am in favor of the Health care plan, but it could be better. We all need it.
Here is what I disagree with:
Stop the wars.
No drilling off-shore
No new nuclear reactors
Better Borders
Are your taxes higher than last year? Mine are not. But I am not getting paid as well as I should.
Perspective?
Lower taxes how? What is that plan?
I talked with these people last county fair and found them confused. They read from a script, but cannot answer questions. Their depth of knowledge is very shallow.
Do you want an idea to reduce government try at state level. Do you need two houses of government at the state level? One would be more effective.
If you don't like the Stimulus Plan what would you do?
I wouldn't call the Tea bagger unpatriotic. I would call them naive. They have no real plan, and play at being noisy and angry. Good change doesn't happen that way. They become the party of cliches. When the tea baggers come up with a specific idea and a workable plan, then and onlt then will they some respect.
Patriotism cannot be measure.
I was told when I protested the Iraq War back in 2003 I was unpatriotic. So when the truth was learned that there were no WMD or other threats, what then? Were those who supported the war both patriotic and naive? and those who didn't support the insightful and shellshoted from all that abuse from the right who did not think first.
David Great Minds think alike,, I spent some time today working up a hub on this subject and my tired eyes put a stop to my activity. I had to wonder how our former President could compare the Tea Party movement with Timothy McVeigh in these words,
"were profoundly alienated, disconnected people who bought into this militant anti-government line."!
He had no grounds for such an accusation, yet if you look at some things Obama's pals have said, there is no rejection of their remarks,Ron Bloom, Manufacturing Czar.
We kind of agree with Mao, that political power comes
largely from the barrel of a gun.
Beware, Obama and his thugs are on the run, but they won't quit,, Clinton is setting us up for a big domestic act of terror, Nothing these people do or say is done without a purpose....
Excellent Hub and point well-taken, David. Bush was fair game for the press since he "stole" the election from our beloved mad scientist, Al Gore. Gore is the star in this hipocratic democrat drama that features a wanna-be mad scientist who dotes on creating environmental doom and a pretender to the presidency who is nothing more than a water boy for George Soros. Oops, did I say 'boy'...label me a racist! This is not insanity. It is manipulation on every level from the voting booth to the the media outlets. America has been lulled into a romance of equality while sinister people carry out work that will be extremely hard to undo. Those who hold up and defend Obama will be the same crowd crying out for someone to come to their aid when the final bells toll for freedom.
You are one hundred percent correct on each and every point you make here. This is just one of the reasons I love my interactions here in hubworld because it makes me realize that I am NOT alone in my anger at this administration. I do sometimes get discouraged because it is so plain to see that the left can say and do absolutely ANYTHING they want to and they are never questioned. The republicans are always fighting with one hand tied behind their backs because of the biased and one-sided reporting done by the MSM. When I hear some asshole complaining about the repubs controlling the media, I just want to scream, "WHAT PLANET ARE YOU FROM?" Maybe it just illustrates how delusional these libs really are.

Hi-Jinks, you are one unusual person, I must say. First, I wasn't aware you were psychic. It is so funny to see you saying my mind is made up about healthcare. I can say the same about you as well, correct? You mind is made up to the fact that federal government has a right to force their version of health care on its subjects...or its citizens, I should say. Funny you mention healthcare at all since my next hub is going to be on that very subject.
Thanks for the comment on my book. We are actually in agreement with that.
